Cleveland Browns QB Deshaun Watson is going to undergo season ending surgery it was announced today. Watson sustained the injury in the second quarter of last Sunday’s game vs the Baltimore Ravens. Cleveland came back and won the game after being down by 14 points in the 4th quarter. Watson said he’s in disbelief about the injury. An MRI performed Monday revealed Watson has a displaced fracture to the glenoid in his right shoulder. He will undergo immediate surgery to avoid further structural damage to the shoulder.
The AFC North division which has both the Browns and Ravens in it is a tight race. The Ravens lead the division with a 7-3 record, the Browns and the Pittsburgh Steelers are both 6-3, while the Cincinnati Bengals are currently 5-4. Baltimore hosts Cincinnati tomorrow evening on Prime Video. The Steelers visit the Browns on Sunday.
